When I started on the homepage, I split up the roles first.
- Planning: the Claude chat
- Records: Notion
- Code: Claude Code
- Storage: GitHub
- Testing: Docker on my PC
But the Claude that was only doing planning made a branch in the repo and even opened a PR.
What was inside was fine. Two instruction files and a few images.
The problem was who did it.
Once one place starts doing everything, later you can’t tell what changed where.
So I stopped it right away.
- Closed the PR.
- Instructions now go only on Notion cards.
- Only Claude Code works in the repo.
- The planning Claude only reads the repo.
AI does what you tell it. If it can, it does it even when you don’t.
So you have to write down “don’t” too.
The role table I set then
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Planning · copy · design · instructions | Claude chat |
| Task tracking | Notion |
| Code · commits · PRs · merges | Claude Code |
| Source storage | GitHub |
| Building · testing | Docker on my PC |
